                     Dredging Corporation of India Ltd., is the largest Public Sector Dredging and Maritime Development Schedule “B” Company in India in the status of a “Mini Ratna”           Category I.  The company has ambitious plans to increase its fleet.  In order to meet the manning requirements of its fleet,  the company is looking for dynamic and result oriented Professionals for the following posts:-

             Experience     :  One  year service as Master or two years service as Chief Officer on bulk carriers etc. Experience in dredging is an added advantage.

 

  02.      CHIEF OFFICERS

               Certificate of  Competency/ Service as Master(FG)(HT)/Certificate of

                One should have served on Merchant Navy Vessels as Chief Officer/2nd Officer.  

                Experience  in dredging is an added advantage.

                  Certificate of Competency as MEO Class-I (Motor)/Dredge Engineer Gr-I

                      power of  3000 KW and above as CEO,  at least for one year. 

 

06.             2ND ENGINEER OFFICER                                        Below: 55 yrs

                   Qualifications: 

                  Certificate of Competency as MEO Class-II (Motor)/Dredge Engineer Gr-II

 

                   Experience     : 

                     One should have served on Merchant Navy Vessels/Dredgers,  having propulsion   

                     power of  3000 KW and above as  2/E/O,  at least for one year.

 

07.                4th ENGINEER OFFICER                                                  Below: 45 yrs.

                   Qualifications: 

                  Certificate of Competency as MEO Class-IV (Motor)/Dredge Engineer Gr-II

 

                   Experience     : 

                     One should have served on Merchant Navy Vessels/Dredgers,  having propulsion 

                     power of  3000 KW and above as  4/E/O,  at least for one year.

                  Qualifications/Experiences: 

                  MCEA(P), MCEA(R), CHEA(P), CHEA(R), MECH(P), MECH ®, CH MECH 

                  (P), CH MECH®  of Electrical/Electronics Branches of  Indian Navy or

                 individuals who have sailed for six years as Electrical Officer on 

                Dredgers/Merchant Ships.   Experience in Electronics/Instrumentation is

                desirable. 

 

09.             MECHANICIAN – III                                               Below:  45 yrs.

                       Scale of pay:   Rs.6790-12975/-                                     (Relaxable in deserving

                                                                                                       cases)

             

                    Qualifications: 

                 

                    Certificate of Competency as Sea  Going Engine Driver or 1st Class Engine Driver

                  

                 Experience

                   One should have served on Merchant Navy Vessels/Dredgers /Marine Workshops for a period of 3 to 5 yrs. 

 

Note:All applicants for posts at Sl.Nos.1 to 10,  should be in possession of

valid CDC, Passport   and  Certificates under STCW’95 Convention , etc.

Applicants should also meet  the medical standards laid down in MS(ME)

            Rules , 2000.

 

 

         Interested candidates may send their applications in the prescribed format which can be downloaded from DCI Web Site www.dredge-india.com along with photo copies of all relevant  certificates, CDC, Passport, INDOS, etc, addressed to HOD(HR), DREDGING CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD.,  “Dredge House”, Port Area, Visakhapatnam – 530 035    


        Those applicants, who fulfil the educational/professional qualifications etc., in all respects, will be interviewed at our Head Office (Visakhapatnam).  Interviews will be conducted twice in a month, i.e., on the 15th and 30th day of every month.  In case, 15th and 30th of a month falls on a  Sunday/Holiday, the interviews will be conducted on the next working day.

 

            Individual communications will be sent to the eligible candidates, intimating the exact date of interview.  Out-station candidates, who may be called for interview for the posts of Dredge Masters/Chief Officers, Chief Engineer Officers and 2nd Engineer Officers will be paid “to and fro” air fare.  Rest of the candidates,  in the cadre of Officers, will be paid “to and fro” 2nd A/C train fare.  SC/ST candidates, who may be called for interview for the posts in the cadre of Asst. Machinists and Mechanicians-III,  will be paid “to and fro” Sleeper Class train fare.
